THE CHALLENGE & ROLE
Tasked with boosting engagement and attracting future festival-goers, we created the Bestival microsite, which captured key tweets during the festival and showcased the most-tweeted artists.
PROCESS
Inspired by the Bestival festival posters, I created key assets that enhanced the event’s retro nautical theme. These included the water, aquatic creatures with puppet-like motion and a mermaid assistant that served as a tent selector for listening to live music.
Various pages allowed users to see live updates on the microsite whenever an artist's name was mentioned. For example, circles dynamically changed in size to indicate which artists were being tweeted about the most, and using placement as a way to help visualise the ranking
of artists.
